West Virginia - Thanksgiving 2011 by  |

A nice 9 day vacation. I left the Dallas area in the vicinity of 10 A.M. in a rented Dodge Avenger. It was an uneventful trip. I got to Barboursville at about 2:30 A.M.
I was pretty pooped when I arrived but I was energized by hugging Tish. It was not raining when I got there. We had a weekend of nice weather but didn't take advantage of it and pretty much stayed in, getting reacquainted. Tish had to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It rain steadily for those three days. We watched an entire season of True Blood and then followed that by watching the full second season of Sons of Anarchy. That is the way to watch those programs. There was a continuity that you can't get waiting a week to find out what happens next. Thanksgiving was wonderful. We ate at the McKenna's. I had a lot of fun taking pictures of everyone. Jaye and Avery were especially fun as you could feel the tremendous love the mother/daughter had for each other. The turkey and stuffing were excellent and I even got to watch a little NFL football. One of my favorite activities of my whole trip was Tish and I going to the park for a little photo shoot and hike. We didn't go really far but it was fun trudging though the underbrush with Tish. We joked and became somewhat short of breath and enjoyed every second together.  It gets harder and harder to say goodbye to each other. This time was the hardest. We are making plans. I am anxious to see how it works out for us. It isn't going to be easy. I am amazed that she loves me so and I am bless to have found someone I love as well. Hang on - this is going to be some kind of ride. |
