Hailing from Co, Donegal, 25 year old Shauna Mullin is an up and coming singer who has been described as being one of Ireland’s finest exponents of Irish traditional song at present.
In 1999, Shauna won an All-Ireland title in English language song and has since performed extensively on the Irish music circuit. In 2005, she was a finalist in Music Network’s Young Musicwide Award alongside Kieran Munnelly, Sean Óg Graham, Ryan Molloy and Aidan O’Donnell. Over the past few years, she has featured at many major festivals including Celtic Connections (Glasgow), Dranouter festival (Belgium), Labadoux festival (Belgium) and Tonder Festival (Denmark) and in 2007, she performed at the Royal Opera House in London alongside musician and composer Luke Daniels. She has performed with groups and artists such as Téada, Michael Rooney, Na Casaidaigh, Ciaran Coughlan and Steve Cooney
I purchased Munnelly's CD "Tight Squeeze". Shauna and the band were kind enough to sign.
