Every Picture Tells A Story

Time to take them for a trial run.

We've only lived in South Garland for a few months and are still getting acquainted with the area. Duck Creek is just down the street from our house. There are miles of walking paths along the creek. Here is my impressions as I stroll along the path on a gray, chilly, Sunday morning in December – 2016.

"The Road Not Taken"
my apology to Robert Frost

to sit – to think – to dream

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I

I took the one less traveled by

And that has made all the difference

I like to think I bent a great poem for my purpose – not that I butchered a fine piece of literature. Your mileage may vary.

I was thinking – 'What a wonderful park this is, smack dab in the middle of the city'

That is why the sight of litter breaks my heart

There are plenty of trash cans – they are not full – even if the spelling and grammar aren't perfect

Thank you for coming on this little walk with me
