It was a way-above-average ride. The cold front came in a few hours earlier than expected. I hasn't prepared for the extreme cold, but luckily, I had dressed warm enough that I didn't freeze to death (lol). By the time I arrived home, I was chilled to the bone. I knew better than to take off without an extra layer or two, so, it was my bad. Still, all and all, it was a ride I loved and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
This is the first part of a two parter. I liked it so much, and wanted to go back so badly, I talked my good ACME friends, Dozer and Chief, into coming back out to the FM-1200/1201 area about two weeks later. It was a little warmer when we visited the second time. You can rest assured, I packed an extra layer, just in case. The link to that ride is right below; The 1200 RIDEABOUT
I wore out the two batteries I brought with me. I managed to eek out a couple of parting shots, which are the two on this page. I did not get to all of the sites I had planned. It is obvious that I will simply have to return with more batteries. It sounds like an A.E.T.R. to me. Anyone want to ride?
